TODAY (Thursday, 12 December), brougyht the culmination of months of work for students at Thames Park secondary school in Grays.

They were due to give three performances of a music and dance encapsulation o the work of the school's creative arts team, headed up by Michelle Green - who compered the event.

The performance includes solo singers, dance routines, bands, choral perormances and solo musicians and the production was backed with technical support from students.

The first performance was in front of delighted youngsters from neighbouring Thameside primary. The second will take place in the afternoon and will be a 'relaxed performance' and the day will culminate in a finale performance including Year 11 students who were unable to take part in the first two shows becasue of their GCSE commitments.

The performance in front of Thameside was broadcast live on Thurrock Nub News' facebook channel here. It can also be viewed via the link below , though a tchnical glitch means the latter stages of the performance are shown in a condensed screen screen format (Sorr says Editor - my bad!).

Mrs Green said: "I am so proud of everyone involved. There were different levels of performers, some appearing in front of an audience for the first time and it has been a joy to help put it together and I am sure all the students - who have worked incredibly hard on their performances or backstage or backstage and front of house will have gained a realy positive experience."

Headteacher Sam Dyer also congratulated the performers and backstage teams and also all the staff who helped make the production happen.
