THOUGH all lanes are now reported to have reopened roads in West Thurrock and particularly the westbound A13 continue to be heavily congested following a crash just before 6am on the QEII Bridge.

And traffic tails back on the M25 northwards for several miles.

The multi vehcile crash caused a virtually hal to all local traffic through the rush hour with National Highways reporting, at best, that there would be hour long delays, but through the morning the situation has gradually delayed.

However, with the area still in gridlock in some places, motorists who have to travel to or through the area are being advisd to find alternative routes or delay their journey.

North Stifford

In addition to the problems caused by the bridge, works taking place in North Stifford mean the road through the village in closed, contributing further to local congestion as motorists take a diversion. The works are expectd to last for two days.
