MEMBERS of borough Brownies pack completed the second part of a charity mission with a visit to Thurrock Foodbank.

Nub News recently reported on the efforts by the girls of Fourth Stanford-le-Hope Brownies, group leaders and Brown Owl Christine Skinner to collect money to buy food.

We went with the youngsters as they visited Morrisons to load up their baskets.

And now the food has been delivered to the Foodbank, which is based at Thurrock Christian Fellowship on Chase Road, Corringham.

The girls were greeted by Foodbank operations director Peter Newall who showed them around the area where food is stored and explained how the system operates.

"It has been a great exercise, the girls have loved getting involved and we have learned a lot about the work of foodbank and I would like to thank Peter for inviting us down and showing the Brownies how it all works," said Christine.
