ANOTHER flood warning has been issued for the length of the Mardyke River in Thurrock.

Last week the river burst its banks near North Stifford and the Environment Agency has warned of more problems to come.

A statement says: "Flooding is possible in this area. Monitor local water levels and weather conditions.

"Avoid using low lying footpaths or entering areas prone to flooding. Start acting on your flood plan if you have one.

"The Environment Agency Flood Warning System has issued this message based on rising river or tidal levels."

The warning comes despite the Agency saying in the summer that there was little risk of further flooding on the Mardyke, despite major problems last year.
