Magistrates' Court update: Speed charges dropped when it comes to court day - and other local motoring cases

A STANFORD-le-Hope man walked away from court with a clear name and his costs paid after the prosecution withdrew a charge that he had been speeding.

Blake Odili Ezechi had pleaded not guilty to breaking a 30mph speed limit on the A1000 Barnet Road and when he appeared before Basildon magistrates the case was withdrawn.

JAMIE Michael Bugeja, 26, of Magnolia Close, South Ockendon, admitted drink driving and was fined £560 and ordered to pay a surcharge and costs totalling £161.

He was banned from driving for 20 months,

PARICHEHR Zohrabi-Redwood, 27, of Langdon Way, Corringham, pleaded guilty to drink driving and was fined £500 and banned for 12 months. She also had to pay costs and a surcharge totalling £155.

FLORIN Adi Craescu, 24, of Falcon Avenue, South Ockendon, admitted driving without insurance and was fined £320 and orderd to pay costs and a surcharge totalling £122.

He also received six penalty points.

AMY Gilder, 20, of Holly Drive, South Ockendon, was found guilty of driving of driving without insurance and Basildon magistrates issued her with a £660 fine and costs and a surcharge totalling £156. She also received six points.

TAYLOR Allen, 20, of London Road, Tilbury, admitted two charges of driving under the influence of drugs.

He was fined £120 and ordered to pay costs and a victim surcharge totalling £137 - all to be deducted from his benefits.

In addition he was banned from driving for 18 months.

GEORGE Hughes, 21, of Rawlyn Close, Chafford Hundred, admitted driving without insurance and a valid licence and taking a vehicle to drive without permission.

He was fined £120 and ordered to pay costs and a surcharge totalling £137. He was disqualified from driving or holding a licence for 56 days.

SAMUEL Glen Rust, 22, was fined £346 and ordered to pays costs and a surcharge totalling £139 after admitting drink driving. He was also banned from driving for 18 months.

OLUWATOSIN Olagunju, 49, of Cardinal Road, Chafford Hundred, was found guilty in his absence by Basildon magistrates of failing to give police details of the driver if a vehicle in which an offence was believed to have been committed.

He was fined £660 and ordered to pay costs and a surcharge totalling £156 and disqualified from holding a licence for six months.

Bethany Louise Holland, 25, of St James Avenue West, Stanford-le-Hope, admitted drink driving and was fined £276 with costs and a surcharge totalling £137. She was also banned from driving for 18 months.

RAFAL Mateusz Lukaszewski, 27, of Thames Road, Grays, admitted drink driving and was ordered to carry out 40 hours of unpaid community work. He also had to pay costs and a surcharge totalling £195 and has been banned from driving for 20 months.

HENRY Charles Howard, 49, of Buckles Lane, South Ockendon, was found guilty of refusing to give police information about a vehcile in which an offence was suspected of being committed. He was fined £660 and ordered to pay costs and a surcharge totalling £156 and he received six penalty points.

RADU-andrei Isac, 33, was found guilty of speeding in roadworks on the A13 close to Stanford-le-Hope and was fined £220, with costs and a surcharge totalling £120. He received three penalty points.

NOUREDDIN Kerzazi El Ghoul, 40, of Cherwell Grove, South Ockendon, was fined £77 after admitting using a hand-held phone while driving. He also had to pay a surcharge and costs totalling £120 and received six penalty points.

NOT wearing a seatbelt proved costly for Steluta-nicusoara Motoloi (30) of Bryanston Road, Tilbury, who was fined £220 by Basildon magistrates for the offence which was spotted in Orsett. She also had to pay £120 in costs and a surcharge.

JON Andrew Prater, 50, of Woodland Drive, Fobbing, admitted not wearing a seatbelt while driving and was fined £40, with costs and a surcharge totalling £120.

CASSANDRA Munro, 36, of Belhus View, Aveley, was found guilty of driving a vehicle without a valid MOT test certificate and was fined £220 and ordered to pay a surcharge and costs totalling £120.

MARY Marie Anne Saunders, 38, of Biggin Lane, Tilbury, was found guilty of refusing to give police information about a vehicle in which an offence was suspected of being committed. She was fined £660 and ordered to pay costs and a surcharge totalling £156 and received six penalty points.

ROBERT Wilkins, 62, of Feenan Highway, Tilbury, was found guilty of driving a vehicle without the appropriate licence. He was fined £220 with costs and a surcharge totalling £120 and received three points on his licence.

DONIA Yousseff, 41, of Bradleigh Avenue, Grays, was fined £440 and ordered to pay costs and a surcharge totalling £134 after being found guilty of speeding on the A13 near the North Stifford interchange. She also received five penalty points as she exceeded the limit by 23mph.

ANDREW Ayoade Adio, 27, of Brennan Road, Tilbury, changed his plea when he appeared before Basildon magistrates and admitted drink driving.

He received a community rehabilitation order and was fined £120 with costs and a surcharge totalling £490. He was banned from driving for two years.
