Man seriously injured after another Tilbury attack: Do you have information?

POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault in Tilbury on Tuesday, 25 June.

Officers were called to Dock Road in Tilbury shortly after 2pm following reports of an assault close to the junction with Auckland Close.

The victim was approached by a group of men who seriously assaulted him before stealing his bag, which contained his phone and some money.

Officers arrived and the victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

It's believed that there were a number of witnesses in the area at the time and police are appealing to anyone who my have witnessed this assault and can support the investigation, to contact them quoting reference number 727 of 29 June.

The attack is the latest in a series of assaults and serious incidents in Tilbury. Only a week earlier police pledged a stronger police presence in the area to offer 'reassurance' to the local community.
