Police appeal for information after woman is injured in collision with bus

POLICE investigation the circumstances surrounding an incident in Grays earlier in the week when a young woman was injured after a collision with a bus have asked if anyone has any footage of the incident or information.

She is currently recovering in a London hospital with facial injuries and three broken bones but is expected to make a full recovery. Her dad, well known local former firefighter Mike Jones, has thanked many wellwishers for their support.

The incident happened around 1pm on Wednesday (2 February) on Clarancer Road.

An appeal from Essex Police says: "Officers are appealing for witnesses to a serious collision in Grays on Wednesday 2 February.

"It was reported that a bus had collided with a pedestrian on Clarence Road around 1pm.

"A woman in her 20s was taken to hospital, where her injuries are described as serious.

"Our enquiries continue to establish the events leading up to the incident. We need anyone who saw anything or has any CCTV, dash cam, or doorbell footage to please contact us.
