THE Old Spokes Home and Hardie Park has opened its doors to visitors today for a

'Big bike sale and bicycle jumble'[.

The aptly named Old Spokes Home in Stanford-le-Hope is Hardie Park's cycle hub which is where old bikes are refurbished and put up for sale for the local community. As well as the cycles there is a wide range of cycle parts and accessories for sale.

Matt Hill is the hub manager and Thurrock Nub News met up with him this morning (Sunday, 6 December) to talk about the event and the importance of cycling. The sale is on until 4pm.
