STUDENTS at Deneholm primary school in Stifford Clays have seen their work selected to feature on a local company's Christmas cards.

Beckchoice, a Tilbury-based freight forwarding company, brought festive cheer and creativity together in a unique partnership with Deneholm when it hosted an art competition, inviting students to design Christmas cards inspired by the world of freight forwarding.

Students were given outlines of various freight transport vehicles, including trucks, ships, and planes, to colour in and personalise. They were also encouraged to come up with creative names for their designs.

Four winning entries were selected to be featured on Beckchoice's official Christmas cards, which were sent out to the company's customers and partners.

The competition was not only an opportunity for the children to showcase their artistic talents but also served to introduce them to the vital role that freight forwarding plays in the global economy. Throughout the competition, Beckchoice shared insights about how logistics and transportation help move goods around the world and the importance of the industry in everyday life.

Beckchoice's Managing Director, Ray Palmer, said: "We were thrilled to collaborate with Deneholm Primary School for this festive competition. It was a wonderful opportunity to engage with the local community and introduce young minds to the world of freight forwarding. The students' enthusiasm and creativity were truly inspiring, and their artwork beautifully captured the Christmas spirit. We hope this experience has sparked curiosity about the logistics industry and the potential career opportunities it offers."

The response to the competition was overwhelming, with over 118 entries received from the students. The four winners - Chloe, 5, Violet, 9, Rueben, 7, and Anastasia, 6 —received £50 Smyths Toy Store vouchers, festive gift bags, and certificates in recognition of their achievement. The students were delighted to see their artwork featured on the Beckchoice Christmas cards, which are being distributed during the festive season.

In addition to the prizes, Beckchoice expressed their thanks to the entire school by gifting 400 Christmas crackers for all the students to enjoy during their festive lunch on the last day of term, spreading even more holiday cheer.

Beckchoice, a prominent figure in the UK freight forwarding sector, has been offering a range of logistics services since 1979. With over four decades of experience, the company has become known for its reliable, efficient, and customer-focused approach to global shipping and transportation.

This month, Beckchoice celebrates its 45th anniversary, marking a milestone in its continued commitment to providing industry-leading freight solutions.

The company has extended 'a heartfelt thank-you' to the students and staff of Deneholm Primary School for making the Christmas initiative a resounding success, saying the competition was "a perfect way to combine festive fun with community engagement and inspire the next generation of potential logistics professionals".
