'Get out of your armchairs and meet real people': Purfleet-on-Thames Community Forum open meeting

RESIDENTS in Purfleet-on-Thames will get an opportunity to hear first hand about the work of Essex Fire and Rescue Service at the next meeting of the town's community forum.

It will take place on Tuesday, 29 March at the Backstage Centre, Vellacott Drive starting at 7.30pm.

As well as represenataive of the fire service, officers from Thurrock Healthwatch will also be in attendance.

Trevor Batchelor, vice-chair of the forum, says: "This is an actual, real life 'get out of your armchair' meeting. Say hello to real people, meet our councillors and if you are lucky you can even have a cuip of tea or coffee and biscuits."
