Tina recognised for her green work and regeneration activity in Grays
A GRAYS woman described as 'a force of nature' has been short-listed for a top community award.
Tina Holland is one of the final four in the 'Green' category of the BBC Essex 'Make A Difference Awards 2023'.
Tina has been nominated for her work in the Grays community as part of the Orchards Forum and the Friends of Grays Town Park.
She has helped to breathe life back into Grays Town Park, helping restore and brighten up the park itself to regenerating the café and bringing it back into use.
She also regularly helps organise and attends litter-picking and rubbishing clearing in Grays town area.
Her work has been praised by Grays councillor John kent who said: "Tina is a force of nature - the difference she has made to Grays Town Park is remarkable!"
The three other nominees are Canvey Bay Watch seafront volunteer group, En-Form, a Colchester-based environmental charity and Georgie Gibbins from Billericay, a nine-year-old pupil at Quilter Junior Schoo, who set up a weekly Litter Picking Club.
The four finalists will find out if they have won at the BBC Essex Make A Difference Awards ceremony on 21 September.
