Villagers pay respects with afternoon commeration and a piper's lament

By Neil Speight 13th Nov 2022

A BEAUTIFUL, sunlit afternoon in Bulphan saw villagers attend the annual Remembrance event in the churchyard of St Mary The Virgin Church.

Among the many touching moments in the service was a reading of the Royal British Legion exhortation by Rev Sue Mann and village children.

The deputy mayor of Thurrock and ward councilor Sue Little was among those who laid wreathes while Piper Jo Goddard played.

The service was led by Rev Moji Jaiyesimi.
