Villagers turned out in force for Bata memorial service

EAST Tilbury councillor Fraser Massey thanked villagers for turning out in force to commemorate Remembrance Sunday.

Cllr massey said: "There was a fantastic turn out at the Bata war memorial today.

"It was also great to see so many youngsters paying respects including local football teams, Scouts among others and toddlers.

"Rev Michelle from St Catherine's church conducted a very fitting remembrance service all finished with a full bodied national anthem.

"Thank you for everyone in the community who attended to remember the fallen.

"At the going down of the sun, we will remember them."
