TWO Thurrock teenagers have been jailed after admitting their parts in violent attacks.

Edward Wall, 19, of Webster Road, Stanford-le-Hope, has been sentenced to five years in jail – while Ollie McKenzie, 19, of Stour Road, Grays, has been caged for three years and nine months.

Both took part in a vicious attack on a taxi-driver in Grays last year – while Wall also admitted his part in attacks on two men at the Inn on the Green pub in Stanford-le-Hope.

Wall admitted causing grievous bodily harm with intent and two counts of actual bodily harm. McKenzie pleaded guilty to causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

Basildon Crown Court heard details of the two attacks, the first taking place outside the Wharf Pub in Grays when, after disputing the deposit on a fare with the driver, the duo were part of a gang of four who assaulted the driver and dragged him out of the vehicle before continuing the attack by stamping on him before fleeing the scene.

The incident, which happened at 11.30pm on May 19, 2022, left the driver with substantial injuries.

Wall was also charged on two counts of ABH for attacking two victims at the Inn on the Green in Stanford-le-Hope.
