Tilbury 3, Heybridge Swifts 0

TILBURY moved to within touching distance of the Bet Victor Isthmian North play-off zone with an impressive win this evening (Tuesday, 7 January) against Swifts, who went into the match at Chadfields in fourth place.

It took Dockers just one minute to set the tempo for the evening with Oliver Spooner giving them the lead moments after the kick-off.

John Easterford added a second on 16 minutes and Dockers went into the break three up thanks to David Knight's 37th minute goal.

There was no other further scoring as Tilbury took a grip on the match and moved into seventh place, just two points behind fifth-placed Great Wakering Rovers with two matches in hand.
