ORGANISERS of the Orsett Show, which was hailed a big success last Saturday (7 September), have been praised by its main sponsor.

The Port of Tilbury has been a stalwart supporter of the one day traditional rural show for several years and the port's asset and site director Paul Dale has lauded the team behind the event.

ORGANISERS have been reflecting on a successful 116th Orsett Show that was attended by thousands of people who enjoyed a wide array of entertainment.

Many voluntary groups including scouts and guides and police, Royal Marine and Sea Cadets were involved in marshalling at the event, on Saturday, 7 September, together with local volunteers who gave their time to support the many competitive categories including horse showing and riding and looked after the general well-being of show visitors.
