Amelia's ability and drive leads her to a double success

A TALENTED young borough athlete has claimed a double triumph in Thurrock's schools cross country championship.

Amelia Kellard, 11 years old, delivered, a stunning performance at the recent Thurrock Cross Country event to securinge first place in her category for the second consecutive year.

Competing against a strong field of athletes, Amelia maintained a consistent pace throughout the challenging course, impressing both spectators and fellow competitors. Amelia is an accomplished football player and her achievement is a testament to her rigorous training and passion for running.

"This year's course was challenging, but I gave it my all," said Amelia, who will now represent Essex in the event. "I'm so proud to defend my title and grateful for all the support from my coaches, friends, and family."

Mum Marina paid tribute to her daughter, saying: "This latest success not only highlights Amelia's growing prominence in the local athletics scene but also inspires aspiring runners in Thurrock and across Essex.

"Being selected for Essex County again is a fantastic achievement. Amelia continues to impress with her commitment, resilience, and love for the sport."
