A THURROCK teenager with a promising motorsport career ahead of him is continuing to show his impressive skills and has progressed to higher levels of competition.

In 2022 Thurrock Nub news reported on the progress of Max Cooper, a student at Hassenbrook Academy in Stanford-le-Hope who was making a mark in the world of kart racing.

With support from the local community Max, now 15, is now racing at a higher level in his own kart.

Max was approached by a local business who showed an interest in sponsoring him and the subsequent help of Fairlight Vehicles Ltd based in Fobbing has proved pivotal to Max's rise.

On track Max ended his rental karting campaign finishing the Brentwood Senior Race League as the vice champion. He also completed a full season in the Club 100 championship last year gaining multiple top 10 finishes in the A finals at various race track all around the country.

He received his own kart at the end of last year and since the new year has been testing at the best tracks around the country in preparation for his first owner/driver season. This has included passing his ARKS driving test to gain a full FIA race licence to complete in a number of championships.

He decided to enter the FASTR Whilton Mill Kart Club Championship which is a Motor Sport UK championship that is regarded as one of the best in the country.

This is a two day event that is run on the last weekend of every month and is live streamed on the Alpha Timing YouTube channel.

Max has now joined TW Motorsport race team and in his first two race weekends finished as the top novice driver in both and has shown he can compete with the top drivers.

This is a big year in Max's young racing career and it is looking very promising that he will race in the British Kart Championship next year.
