MEMBERS and residents enjoyed and evening of memories and memorabilia at Stanford Cricket Club last night (Friday, 9 May).
To mark the centenary of playing at the town's Recreation Ground the club 'opened up its books', displaying scorebooks and other memorabilia covering generations of local cricketers.

And the evening started with a Colts match exactly one hundred years since the first ball was bowled on the ground.
Club spokesperson Andy Robinson said: "Congratulations to John Hicks for masterminding a fascinating display of many documents, photos and the entire playing records of our players."
And ahead of the start of the competitive season today, Andy added: "Good luck today everyone playing today - it's a long season ahead so take it steady and be patient."
