THERE was delight for all three borough non-League sides in action this afternoon (Saturday, 15 October) as they all recorded wins in the Isthmian North.
For the second successive Saturday result of the day probably goes to East Thurrock United.
After their long successful trip to Bury St Edmunds last weekend, the Rocks and supporters headed north again - this time to Wroxham in Norfolk.
The struggling hosts might not have had the credentials of play-off chasing Bury but when Rocks were two goals down after 21 minutes to goals from Ryan Miles - the first coming just two minutes into the match - things looked bleak.
However, Harry Critchley got one back on 34 minutes and the sides went in with Wroxham holding a 2-1 advantage at the break.
Recent matches featuring the Rocks have hasd their fair share of comment about refereeing decisiosn - and there were to be some more to contemplate in the second half which featured eight yellow cards and three red ones.
Wroxham's Ryan Hawkins was the first to get his marching orders from referee Bradley Mingay on 53 minutes and with a man advantage East Thurrock drew level on 71 minutes through Roman Michael-Percil.
The numbers were then levelled up on 81 minutes when Rocks' Jack McQueen was dismissed.
It looked like scores and numbers might remain level but that all changed in the closing moments when Brian Moses grabbed a winner for East Thurrock and then Rocks sub Jordan Peart was dismissed.
But the visitors held on and - after much early season angst now sit in mid-table with 11 points.
That's the same points tally as Tilbury who sit two places below them on goal difference and ended a recent sequence of league defeats with a 1-0 home win against Bury Town.
That came courtesy of a 53rd minute goal from Darnell Kithambo and the Dockers held on to record their third clean sheet of the season to take all the points.
Grays Athletic exit the weekend in second spot in the table thanks to a 3-2 win against third-placed Felixstowe and Walton United at Parkside in a match that featured ten yellow cards, six for the visitors.
The result was the visitors' first league defeat of the season and they contributed to their own demise with some defensive errors.
The home side were ahead after just three minutes thanks to Sam Bantick's effort, though some attributed it as a an own goal from Leon Ottley-Gooch.
Felixstowe were level with a cracker from Josh Hitter on 25 minutes but the second Grays goal, this time definitely from Bantick, gave Grays the lead at the break.
Anointed Chukwu then stretched the lead just after the hour and though Felixstowe got one back in the closing moments, Grays held on to take the points and make up ground on leaders Lowestoft who lost their 100 per cent record with a goalless draw at Hullbridge Sports.
Grays are six points behing the Trawlerboys but do have a match in hand.
