THE resilience of Tilbury FC these days seems to hold no bounds!

On Tuesday the Dockers recovered a 4-0 deficit to win through in the Velocity Cup. This evening (Friday, 1 November) they produced another exceptional comeback from two down to beat promotion rivals Basildon United and ensure they will be top of the Isthmian North at the end of the weekend.

Ramiah Mills shocked the visitors withfierce drive that rippled the back of the net after just two minutes to put the fourth-placed Bees ahead.

Dockers were denied an equaliser when Alfie Fry delivered a great ball around the back of the defence and Dan Trebndall Trendall got in front of his man to flick the ball goalward but he was denied by an incredible save from Max Spence who tips it onto the crossbar.

That save doubled in value in added time at the end of the half when Darren Esuka extended the home side's lead with a looping header.

There were just 21 minutes remaining at the Hive when Alex Hernandez sparked a revival with his ninth goal since joining Dockers. The creator was Dan Trendall who delivered an incredible cross to Hernandez who flicks it in.

And on 74 minutes Lindell Stewart put the visitors level when he got on the end of a cross from Hernandez to head home

The winner came from Stewart with six minutes remaining. Kieran Jones cuts in and looked to shoot but the ball fell for Stewart who saw his first effort blocked but his second found the bottom corner!
