BLUES moved to sixth, just a place below the Isthmian North play-off zone play-off zone after Saturday's (9 November) win at the EMR Stadium.

The game was preceded by a moving ceremony featuring a two minute silence to mark Remembrance Day, with TS Dragon Sea Cadets and the Royal Marine Cadets providing a guard of honour and Grays Town Band's Dave Honeywell played Lhe last Post.

The club's supporters also made a presentation of £300 to the Grays Thurrock Royal British Legion from the sale of special commemorative Poppy pin badges.

When the action started Grays made an impressive start and pressure eventually told when they took the lead after 27 minutes when Reon Smith-Kouassi broke free and coverted from a tight angle.

It was a lead Grays took into the break and they made the most of a missed penalty by the Jockeys when extended it just before the hour through Luke Hirst who broke free, rounded the keeper and netted.
