Millers face another tough test at home while Dockers take their promotion chase to high-fliers. Grays and Rocks look to consolidate at home

IT'S going to be another tough challenge for injury-hit strugglers Aveley who entertain promotion chasing Eastbourne Borough to Parkside in the Vanarama National South.
Stranded at the foot of the table and 14 points from safety, even Millers are describing the eight remaining matches of the season as 'Mission Impossible', but Danny Scopes' players have shown tremendous determination in recent performances, including a succession of clashes with the division's top sides.
Though they have picked up just one point from their last seven matches, following a win at Maidstone on 11 February, they have not been disgraced in any of them and a dreadful run of injuries has decimated their capability.
Monday's home defeat to leaders Worthing encapsulated Millers' season in many ways.
Manager Scopes has tried to plug the gaps with loan signs, something he concedes may have played a contributory factor in the run of outcomes - but his players have rarely left anything out on the pitch and Scopes has pledged his squad will battle till the last – and then beyond that.
They will have to summon up another big effort today as visitors Eastbourne, who beat Millers 2-1 in August, are challenging in the promotion-play-off zone and a bid for the title may not be beyond them.
In the Isthmian North Tilbury face a test at third-placed Bury Town, who are challenging for the title as well as promotion.
Dockers are sixth, six points behind fifth and a play-off place but they have a match in hand and they will be buoyed by last weekend's 2-0 home win against Basildon United. They will be looking for revenge after losing the corresponding fixture at home, in December, 1-0 – with Bury's scorer being Cemal Ramadan who now has 24 goals to his name this season.
Following two battling performances on the road, including Tuesday's win at Concord, which have earned four points, Grays Athletic are looking to keep their improved Isthmian North form going, at home to Cambridge City today.
The Lilywhites have had a nomadic existence in the last 15 years, which in many ways mirrors The Blues own journey. They departed their City Ground on Milton Road in controversial circumstances in 2010 and since then have had a series of ground sharing agreements with Newmarket Town, Histon (twice) and St Ives Town (also twice).
Happily, this all this came to an end earlier this season as they moved into their impressive new ground at Sawston which was opened with a league game against Grays' landlords, Tilbury, in front of the best crowd in the division this season of 1,459.
In December Grays travelled to Sawston and lost 2-1, their goal coming from Alejandro Machado.
In the Essex and Suffolk Border League Premier Division, East Thurrock Community FC are at home to on Belle Vue Social Club at the Wyldecrest Country Club, ko 3pm, and hope to build on last week's win at Stanway.
