Tilbury 3, Halstead Town 1

TILBURY moved up to eighth in the Essex Senior League, building on the midweek Senior Cup win at Saffron Walden with an emphatic home win.

There was a new look to the Dockers set up following the departure of Alfie Leach and Olly Miles and the return of striker Roman Campbell, who was to mark his second Dockers debut with a goal.

Campbell made a big impact, being a major part of the opening goal just before the break when the ball was deflected into the net by a Halsted player after Campbell has surged forward and delivered a dangerous low ball into the box.

And he grabbed a goal himself on 55 minutes with a near post header.

A top strike from Alfie Fry from distance put Dockers in the driving seat and though Halstead pulled one back, the points were safely docked with the port side.
