A TOPSY-TURVEY FA Trophy tie at Hertingfordbury Park eventually brought disappointment for the Blues, who went into the match buoyed by the return of striker Sam Bantick following his pre-season decision to join Enfield FC.

It was a move that didn't work out and Grays boss Mark Stimson was quick to welcome him back into the fold.

The hosts were to take the lead seven minutes before the break through Deimar Queni but Bantick showed his value in the first minute of the second half by opening his account.

And when Aron Gordon put the Blues ahead after 74 minutes, things looked good but Town were on level terms within a minute through Harry Peterson and the winner came from Benjamin Herd six minutes from time.

Grays women are in historic FA Cup action today (Sunday, 10 September).
