All smiles as school bids for happiness honours

STAFF, pupils and parents at Arthur Bugler Primary School in Stanford-le-Hope are celebrating after it was announced it has been shortlisted for the "Happiest School of the Year" Award!

The National Happiness Awards, hosted by Laughology, are the UK's premier happiness and well-being event.

They recognise the happiness heroes in business, the public sector and schools throughout the UK.

John Bryant, headteacher at Arthur Bugler said: "As a school we are delighted to be recognised for creating a happy learning environment with a focus on everyone being happy! The Fun Factory really does put the happiness of each and every child at the centre of everything we do to foster love and care for the entire community."

In addition, Arthur Bugler Primary School also discovered that staff members, John Bryant and Lucy Chipperfield, have been shortlisted in the top three finalists for the "Happiest School Employee" Award.

The final for the awards is being held on Friday, 22 November.
