Updated: Fire crews tackled Tilbury blaze

FIREFIGHTERS are currently (5.30pm, Thursday, 9 September) tackling a blaze at a site off Dock Road in Tilbury.

The fire was on land to the rear of the Dock Road guest house. The flames were quickly extinguished by the firefighters.

A spokesperson for Essex Fire & Rescue Service said: "An Essex County Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Firefighters from Orsett Fire Station were called to a fire in a scrapyard in Dock Road, Tilbury just after 5pm.

"They worked to extinguish it by 5.35pm."
