A CHADWELL St Mary youngster has once again come up trumps with his efforts to raise funds for Thurrock's Poppy Appeal.

For the fourth year running eight-year-old Chadwell Primary School pupil Logan McCarthy has been inspired, with the help of his mum Nicola and family, to organise a fund-raising raffle.

Last year's effort raised £500 but by combining the raffle with a clairvoyance night featuring well known Bill Rich at Linford Village Hall last week the amount was more than doubled this year.

The event and raffle raised £1088.50.
