WHILE a win might not lift Aveley out of the Vanarama National League South relegation zone (unless it was by four goals), Millers have the chance to build on some recent improved performances against league rivals when Welling United visit Parkside tonight (Friday, 29 November).

Millers' last outing was an exciting, goal-filled win against St Albans on Monday evening, while Welling - who sit three places and six points above Aveley - drew 2-2 with mid-table Tonbridge on Tuesday.

So the momentum might just be with Danny Scopes' side.

In the Isthmian North tomorrow Tilbury make history when they travel Cambridge City's new ground for its first competitive match.

Though Dockers (who enjoyed a comprehensiver Essex Senior League cup win on Tuesday) have had a couple of below par performnces recently, they go into the match at the new FWD/IP Community Stadium in fourth place - while their hosts are 15th.

Cambridge's new ground.

Cambridge played at Milton Road for 91 years until the 2012/13 season, since when it has been sharing a ground with both St Ives and Histon.

Tomorrow's game will see them at home, albeit in the village of Sawston, and there promises to be a big turnout. The match is all ticket. See this link.

Back at Tilbury's EMR Stadium, tenants Grays Athletic - who are fifth in the table - will be looking to continue the form that saw them beat Brentwood comprehensively on Tuesday

They will play host to Haringey Borough who sit third from bottom.

At Corringham's Wyldecrest Club, East Thurrock Community FC will hope to make progress when they entertain Gas Recreation in the Essex and Suffolk Border League KO Cup.
