Motormen take the honours as Dockers' league struggle does on

Tilbury 1, Redbridge 3
DOCKERS' management duo Mark Harrison and Liam Wallace made changes following Tuesday night's dramatic draw at Brantham with David Aderibigbe, Jamie Reynolds and Dan Trendall all starting Saturday's (11 October) Isthmian North clash at Chadfields against high-flying Redbridge.
Tyler Forbes also returned to the starting 11 following his international break, where he captained the British Virgin Islands, grabbing a goal against Grenada in a friendly.
Forbes wasted no time re-introducing himself on his return, as after 26 minutes, he was released by Jamie Reynolds with a ball over the top of the defence. Forbes battled brilliantly to get through the centre halves and poke the ball into the corner to give Tilbury the lead.
The Motormen came close to levelling straight away when Karl Kayembe was on the end of a deep cross towards the back stick. The forward drilled his strike past Harry Fairs, but Jack Hayes was on hand to make the block.
The Dockers kept pushing to double their lead when Max Appauh showcased his blistering pace to burst past Josh Taylor down the right. The winger chopped back onto his left foot to sell two defenders, but the curling effort flew just over the bar.
On the stroke of halftime, Redbridge found the leveller, as Malachi Napa skipped past a challenge on the left-hand side before fizzing a cross into the area. This caused a goal-line scramble, but Solomon Ogunwomoju was somehow able to flick the ball over the line while lying on the floor.
After the break, the hosts caught Redbridge on the counterattack, once again through the pace of Max Appauh. Appauh latched onto a ball played down the right and drove towards goal, but his strike was pulled just wide of the near post.
The visitors began to take control of the match and should have taken the lead when a mistake at the back allowed Ogunwomoju through with an open net staring back at him.
However, the winger took the ball too far wide, and Jack Hayes was allowed to get back to make a vital interception. But The Motormen would finally go ahead for the first time in the 83rd minute, once again through an Ogunwomoju flick.
This time, he was on his feet as his backheel connected with Malachi Napa's low cross to find the far corner.

And Redbridge sealed their win in the dying moments with Tilbury committing men forward in search of an equaliser. Joseph Johnson was the man chasing a long ball, and he reaped the rewards of his efforts when he closed down and intercepted a clearance, before calmly slotting into the empty net.
