We are currently supporting our client, a well established manufacturing business in Essex with hiring a new Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor.This is a days based role, working Monday to Friday between 9am-5pm.About the company you are joining:Our client manufacture and distribute a diverse range of products, mainly supplying essential industries and have had a strong market presence within their respective field.The business have a great culture across the board and as a direct result have benefitted from long service from many staff members. The business looks after and invests in it's people, and the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor role offers you a great platform longer term to join a business on the upward trajectory.About the role:The Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the work of the mechanical maintenance activities on site and you will provide leadership, guidance and direction to the Mechanical Maintenance Team while ensuring that projects and works meet the quality standards and deadlines. Some of the key responsibilities for the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor will involve the following:

• Control all mechanical maintenance activities on site using the personnel efficiently.
• Maintain an efficient operation with the mechanical maintenance team
• Ensure adequate risk assessments and safe systems of work are completed for all activities
• Complete all duties as an Authorised Person on site within the Permit to Work system.
• Help develop and follow the preventative maintenance program for the site
• Follow a rigorous inspection program for all equipment on site.
• Follow the procedures in the management system to ensure compliance with all standards for the site
• Complete all routine checks following the preventative maintenance schedules

• Must have prior supervisory or team leadership experience of Mechanical Maintenance teams.
• Proven experience working in a Process / Industrial related sector.
• Experience in hands-on, practical mechanical maintenance.
• A proactive and engaging personality who enjoys collaboratively with different departments.
