A COUNCILLOR has intervened and is calling for residents to come forward and name the culprits after a serious of incidents of objects being thrown from high rise flats.

Cllr Sara Muldowney has spoken up following reports of items being thrown at Chadwell St Mary's tower blocks.

In one instance a glass jar hit and damaged a car, while a postman has described being bombed with soiled nappies!

Cllr Muldowney says: "I am really sorry to hear that there are again issues with things being thrown out of Chadwell flats windows.

"Any personal injury or criminal damage (to cars, etc) should be reported to the police.

"This is very dangerous anti-social behaviour which both the police and the council take very seriously.

"I have reported this to the council for investigation. I urge whoever is doing this to stop.

"Some people may think it's just a bit of a laugh but some of the objects being thrown could seriously injure or even kill someone when thrown from a height. If they can smash a car window, they could kill a child.

"Please message me if you have any information about who the culprits are."

Cllr Muldowney can be contacted via her Facebook page or email at [email protected].
