It's a win for Wynne

WEST Thurrock Boxing Club's Luke Wynne achieved his latest victory over professional MMA fighter Wes Machado on Saturday.

Machado, training out of the Mbox gym in Forest Gate, showed his experience in his calm performance but could not subdue the younger Wynne who won on points over four rounds on the latest IBA show at the Circus Tavern.

RESIDENTS in Aveley have expressed their delight after Thurrock Council agreed to donate trees to improve local parks.

Last month the Friends of Aveley and Kenningtons Parks expressed their delight when the council offered to plant a tree, prompting a message of thanks and the plea: 'Hopefully it's the start of lots more to come'.
