Orsett & Thurrock Cricket Club fielded nine teams last Saturday, 22 June, instead of the usual eight.

The players included men and women of all ages from 13 to 76 and are a testament to their magnificent work over the last few years with the youth section now numbering more than 250 from the age of five through to 16.

There is cricket coaching and matches seven days a week at Orsett Recreation Ground and the out grounds at Corringham Rec. William Edwards School and Thurrock Rugby Club who hosted the ninth team game.
