ON Saturday 3 December you can take a trip through history as buses from the 1930s to the 1990s are operating on four routes throughout the day as part of Ensign Buses Running Day.

The heritage buses will be running on four routes: X21, Upminster to Brentwood; X54, Lakeside to Purfleet Military & Heritage Centre and RAF Hornchurch Heritage Centre; X55, Upminster to Gravesend via Lakeside and Bluewater; and X81, Shenfield Station to Tilbury Ferry Terminal via Brentwood, Lakeside and Grays.

Adult day tickets cost £10 and cover the four heritage bus routes and all other Ensign buses. Children's tickets are also available for £2 each but can only be used on Running Day routes X21, X54, X55 and X81.
