DUE to growth and an influx of work an engineering business which is a sub-contract sheet metal working company has a requirement for a Laser Setter/Operator to join their existing team on the shop floor.

Reporting directly to the Production Manager, the Laser Setter/Operator will be using Trumpf and Bodor Lasers however, if you have knowledge or experience of other lasers cross-training can be given. In addition, there may be the requirement to utilise other machines on the shop floor.

The ideal candidate for the Laser Setter/Operator role will have:

• A good knowledge of laser setting and operating.
• The ability to read engineering drawings.
• Gained previous experience in a similar role.
• Good communication skills.

In return the Laser Setter/Operator can expect to receive a competitive salary, shift allowance, 33 days flexible holiday entitlement and free onsite parking. The working hours for this role will be 1pm – 10pm Monday to Thursday, 1pm – 5pm on Fridays with 30 minute breaks, however, a degree of flexibility will be expected if there is the requirement to cover other shifts.
