EAST Thurrock United's scheduled Essex Senior Cup tie at Witham Town this evening (Tuesday, 17 January), which had caused the postponement of the planned Tilbury v Witham league fixture, is now also off.

An inspection at lunchtime at the Simarcol Stadium decided that frozen areas of the pitch had no prospect of thawing.

A new date for the tie is yet to be announced.

The evening's other Senior Cup tie featuring a local side appears set to go ahead with no announcement of any inspection prior to Grays Athletic's trip to Concord Rangers' aspect Stadium.
