AFTER an afternoon pitch inspection the referee has postponed this afternoon's match at East Thurrock United, who were due to host Great Wakering Rovers in the Isthmian North.

A statement from the Rocks says: "Sorry everyone, we left it as late as possible to try and get it on.

"Could have followed the herd and called an early morning inspection.

"We nearly made it, just that one stubborn patch which is in the shade most of the day."
