The Situation Room: Community Response to Flooding
Online
Community Events
26th Nov 2024 - 26th Nov 2024
Tuesday 26th November
The increasing floods and drought seen across the country in recent years are showing us some of the impacts from climate change. We need to work together to come up with a plan. You don't need any special skills or knowledge to take part, other than your valuable lived experience. As a thank you for your participation, we will offer a 25£ voucher.
This is an event for residents of Southend-on-Sea and Thurrock.
Step into The Situation Room, where you will decide how to deal with issues such as flooding, water scarcity and coastal erosion. A series of videos will introduce you to the topic, and you'll vote on different options to minimise the impact of climate change with your fellow participants. Can you create a successful strategy for your local area?
THIS IS AN ONLINE EVENT - You will receive a link on the day of the event which you can access on a tablet or laptop (no phones unfortunately!). You will need to be willing to be on camera, and come ready to participate!
