ORGANISERS of an event to be held in Thurrock shortly are hoping it will be a catalyst for change in the battle against domestic abuse.

Described as a 'transformative coffee morning' the event called 'Empowerment Brew' will take place at the Casco Lounge, on the Quay at Lakeside Shopping Centre on Wednesday, 10 January, from 9.30 to 11.30am.

Organisers say the event is dedicated to raising awareness, providing education, and fostering support against domestic abuse in Thurrock, adding: "This safe and empowering space invites women to connect, learn, and stand together."

"Our aim is to create a safe and supportive environment where the women of Thurrock can share experiences, gain knowledge, and build a network of strength.

"You do not need to have personal experience of domestic abuse to join us. With one in four women experiencing domestic abuse in their lifetime, the chances are high that if you haven't, you definitely know someone who has.

"Plus, who doesn't want to come and have a cuppa and a chat with a bunch of other women, right?!" Every woman who joins us will also receive one month's free access to HERintimacy.

"Come prepared to be inspired, informed, and surrounded by a network of powerful women dedicated to creating positive change. Your presence is not just welcome; it's an essential part of this empowering movement. Together, let's brew strength, awareness, and support in the heart of Thurrock."

The event will be hosted by Vicky Crone who is a domestic abuse survivor who described herself as a women's pleasure coach who draws strength from adversity, transforming personal challenges into a powerful force for change.

A fervent feminist, she says she channels her passion into dismantling societal norms that limit the potential of women.

Vicky is the founder of HERintimacy, a pioneering membership platform which she says 'is revolutionizing the landscape of sex education for women, empowering them to take control of their well-being.'

The platform can be found via this link.
