Heritage & Military Centre open with special events to mark Jubilee

OVER next week's June Bank Holiday, which will bring celebrations to mark the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, the Purfleet Heritage & Military Centre at Purfleet-on-Thames will be displaying a special tribute exhibition telling the story of Queen Elizabeth's life and reign and also the Royal Family.
The exhibition will be open on Thursday, 2 June from 10am until 3.30pm and will also feature vintage buses, cannon firing and music. There will be a Jubilee cake sale.
And Purfleet Primary Academy pupils Jubilee projects will be on display for all to enjoy.
The centre will be open again on Sunday, 5 June when there will there will be live music by the band 'Let's B' Avin You' who will be playing a selection of songs covering the last six decades.
The scheduled times for the live music are 11.30am to 12.45pm and at 2 to 2.45pm. Again, there will be cannon firing and vintage vehicles will be attending, plus the school display and much more.
There is also a café serving refreshments etc, and a gift shop.
Admission to the Centre is free on both days, but donations are most welcome.
