Award-winning Stanley's boost for St Luke's

A STANFORD-le-Hope youngster has added to his growing collection of successful fundraising efforts by earning £422 for St Luke's Hospice through his latest endeavour.

12-year-old Stanley Jackson is a crochet fan and has become an expert at the craft he learned as a ten-year-old.

He is well-known in his community for making Royal Mail letter box toppers to note seasonal or special events and has frequently featured on Thurrock Nub News (see links below).

On Saturday Stanley held a crochet workshop at the premises of Grays wool outlet 'All Tangled Up' - and also ran a raffle for the hospice.

Lots of people attended and the event was hailed a great success, woith more than £400 earmarked for the hospice.

Also last week Stanley attended the BBC Essex 'Make a Difference Awards' where he was winner of Fundraiser of the Year accoladxe.
