FIREFIGHTERS using breathing apparatus tackled a fire in Grays Shopping Centre this afternoon (Sunday, 3 April).

It was discovered just before 2pm and is believed to have started in a mobile phone shop. The fire was contained but the shop suffered significant smoke damage.

PICTURES have been released by whistle-blowers that show the inside of Thurrock Council's new council chamber and the images clearly show that an official council statement, refuting a Nub News story about significant mistakes in design and build, is a misrepresentation of the truth.

The scene at Coryton this morning.

MORE fuel tankers were targeted by protesters from the 'Just Stop Oil' group in Thurrock this morning (Sunday, 3 April).

A large number of protestors stopped two tankers as they left a fuel storage site off the Manorway at Coryton and a number then climbed on top of the vehicles - an act that has been described as 'tanker surfing' by some protesters.
