TREETOPS School is Grays has been closed down because of coronavirus issues.

A number of staff members are believed to have tested positive and others are being forced into self-isolation, meaning that the school cannot be staffed properly and has to close.

RESIDENTS in Tilbury are being invited to contribute their ideas on how the town can be regenerated and how an initial half million pounds earmarked for the town might best be used.

Tilbury was selected by the government to receive a share of the £3.6billion Towns Fund pot to help improve infrastructure, drive economic growth and increase job opportunities. It will potentially receive up to £25 million.

THE head of a Thurrock school has taken part in the first of a number of 'face-to-face' question and answer sessions with parents.

Ceri Evans, head at Ortu Gable Hall School in Corringham, will also be taking parents on pre-booked tours of the school under social distancing conditions in the next few days – and he has extended the invitation to visit Gable Hall throughout the year.
