ESSEX Police's roads policing unit has reported a staggering rise in the number of people arrested for drug or drink driving last month.

WARD councillors are set to join angry residents in stating their objection to a new homes plan in Grays, due to be debated by Thurrock Council's planning committee on Thursday (9 January).
As exclusively reported on Thurrock Nub News last week (see story via red button below), planning officers are recommending approval of the plan for eight new homes.
YOUNGSTERS and families who are part of Thrrock's Open Door network joined Grays Beachcombers this morning (Sunday, 5 January) to take part in the monthly litter pick along the bank of the River Thames.
