A YORKSHIRE-based planning company has submitted an application to Thurrock Council about its plans to build a new primary school to the south of Aveley.
Few details are available about the origins of the application on behalf of Eco Modular Buildings, which is asking the council for an evaluation of its plans, even though detail is sparse.

THE family of a man who died following an assault in Tilbury have described him as their 'hero'.
Craig North, 35, from Tilbury was found injured in Feenan Highway shortly before 9.45pm on Sunday, 2 January. He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and in the days that followed there were many messages of support for him, including a video from world boxing champion Tyson Fury, but Mr North died some days later.

A SUCCESSFUL local cricket club which runs many senior and youth sides has condemned plans by Thurrock Council's ruling group to increase car parking charges – mocking the council's assertion that by putting charges on car parks they will be helping avert anti-social behavior.
The council's plans to impose parking charges at recreation sites first came to light in December last year.

THURROCK'S lead councillor for health and wellbeing has delivered a critical message about standards at Basildon Hospital following a report from its chief nursing officer in the wake of a damning verdict by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) on some of its services.
Stanford and Corringham Cllr Shane Ralph is chair of the borough's health and wellbeing overview and scrutiny committee which was recently addressed by the hospital trust's Diane Sarkar, who gave feedback on the commission's latest report on the three major hospitals run by the trust.
