WARD councillors have responded with a warning following news that a new planning application is to be made by the council for the former Belmont allotments site in Grays.

The Mayor and cast at the threatened Thameside Theatre last night.

AS the production reaches its final day with two sell out shows, the Mayor of Thurrock has paid tribute to the cast and all those involved with TOPS on Stage's 'Oliver' which has been on stage at the Thameside Theatre in Grays all this week.

The production is the first return of the local musical group since the outbreak of the Covid pandemic and the performance has been roundly applauded. Thurrock Nub News visited on opening night and you can read the review here.

VOLUNTEERS and members of the Grays Orchards Forum have once again been out and about cleaning up the area.

Among those collecting rubbish and cleaning alleys this morning (Saturday, 9 October) was Grays Thurrock ward councillor John Kent who said: "Spent a really good couple of hours with the Orchards Forum, helping them to clear dumping from John Street, William Street and Grove Road.

MORE London day trip by 'Uber Boat' are being planned from Tilbury later this month.
